We're having more fun this year with Halloween decorations... I got a blow-up black cat for the front yard, and have been hauling in pumpkins from my stint at Lee Farms. Oh, what fun!
I have been thinking about the shifting of energy and a musty smell in my living room in relationship to the mind-body connection. I spent several days working on the situation, and with time produced a result or shift. (I have to say that with working with myself and intending shifts I am must less steadfast). It does not seem we have full say over what our mind-body pulls into its field for transformation, only that it does, and we need to trust it.
Our intent is to look for something on the direct physical, something we can experience on the physical, like a smell in this case. I think my lesson is not to stop the process, which I had recently. Trust that movement is being made, regardless of what is happening on the physical, or even in my mind. It can be as simple as the removal of an old thought, no longer in consciousness, in which case, being no longer there, you would have no memory of the shift.
- Steps for working on removing a negative, dis-empowering thought
- Write the thought down
- Repeat it out loud
- Intuitively select the Tattva oil or oils
- Diffuse your setting
- Ask for support out loud
- Place a written intent within your vision to begin your day.
If you have an amulet or wish to annoint your body, do so. Again ask for support, if you have an archetype to call upon, do so. This is my ritual for removing negativity, and will continue to do ritual until the negativity is removed from consciousness. Then, begin again with another statement or thought/feeling that does not support me, my work and relationships.

The Vitamin D Story
With all the hoopla lately about Vitamin D, let's take a look into how this vitamin came into prominence, and what caused its value to be so underestimated. The effects of a Vitamin D deficiencies have been well known since the 1700's--mainly, rickets, the debilitating bone-softening condition. The cause of rickets was a mystery until around 1910 when serious research went into to the cause of rickets. This type of research--that diet and nutritional deficiencies could directly cause disease--is what led to the naming of the various vitamins. Vitamin D was named because it was the fourth vitamin to be "discovered," and added to the list. Vitamin D was named in 1927 after a series of experiments on dogs revealed a denatured form of Vitamin A prevented rickets in the animals, thus it was assumed another factor was causing the effect.
